The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who want to remove mopping from their list of tasks. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through an efficient.
It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective, but it's something you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach many different surface areas. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it comes with a large selection of smart features. It's crucial to remember that it carries periodic expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.

The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. affordable robot vacuum for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture some of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots have struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was starting or finished its work.
Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base has several control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets caught in an obstacle, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.
On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
